What is MINO LAB?

In March 2024, we launch the second edition of MINO LAB. MINO LAB is an annual artist-led talent development program aimed at emerging multidisciplinary (autodidactic) makers who create from a sense of urgency to make an impact and engage with social change at large.

With MINO-LAB, we provide 6 artists with the space, time and expertise to develop their vision and practice through a three-month artist residency accompanied by a deepening curriculum, built on the fundamental principles of social art practices. Exploring the potential of aesthetic strategies for change-making, the program offers the participants the tools to critically reflect on their process and practice and to ground it in its broader socio-political context.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced coach to guide and support the participants throughout the whole trajectory of MINO LAB in 2024. The program is from end of march to end of june 2024. Preparation starts this fall.

• You have a pivotal role in this residency, since you will be the intermediary between the participating artists and the invited guest teachers.

• You take on a coordinating and mediating role. This entails the briefings with guest teachers, organizing and attending the workshops and enabling critical conversations.

• Throughout the program, you coach the participants artistically, practically and personally through personal and group sessions.

• Your role has a strong focus on group dynamics.

YOU HAVE

• Experience in coaching and mentoring

• You have a vision about transdisciplinary approaches, and the development of young artists

• Affinity with art/social art practice

• A relevant network is a plus

• Being an artist or creative yourself is a plus

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• A flexible attitude

• Resident in Belgium

WE OFFER

• a freelance paid position (flexible hours and to be decided)

• starting from November 2023 until the end of June 2024.

• During the residency from March until June 2024 you are working with the residents on a weekly basis.

Founded in January 2022, MINO is a new start-up within the cultural field committed to the regenerative impact of art in society.

MINO Art Space is an independent art and community space located in an historical warehouse in Antwerp-Dam. Its residencies, community events and exhibitions center the vision and aspirations of young, emerging artists pushing boundaries and reimagining narratives.

MINO Agency supports forward thinking cultural professionals and non-profit organizations in the shift to an inclusive, innovative and healthy cultural sector.

We are looking for a Junior Project Assistant with a warm and enthusiastic personality to strengthen MINO AGENCY in a paid position as an intern.

You will support in developing creative concepts, meetings, interviews and workshops with clients in the arts & cultural field

Our ideal candidate is:

• A creative mind with affinity in the arts & cultural field, experience with public programming is a plus.

• Proactive, very motivated, a fast thinker and learner, organized and autonomous worker

• You are a warm, open and positive personality.

We are looking for a Garden Coördinator from the 15th of January.

You will ensure the smooth running of our roof garden with the help of our enthusiastic volunteers.

You are a point of contact for our regular gardeners, partners, volunteers and the neighborhood, you are warm, friendly and you know how to create overview and structure.

You also play an active role in co-creating our garden program and workshops of the new season 2024.

As our new business manager you are the driving force in our financial and business strategy and leading new business. You are the lead in the optimisation and managing of our multi business model (e.g. rental, private & corporate sponsorships, workshops). Together with the Finance Manager you are responsible for overall strategy, budgets and prognosis.

• You have experience with business development and financial strategy.

• You are an entrepreneurial project manager with a strong commercial insight.

• Excellent written and verbal Dutch language skills. Other languages are a plus.
